SAI4RAI is a small nonprofit. We don't have a data team, a tracking department, or advertising revenue. When you share information with us — your email address, your name, details about your organization — it's because you reached out to us directly. We take that trust seriously.
Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we promise never to do with it.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store only your email address — nothing else. We use it to send you occasional updates about SAI4RAI programs, community news, and responsible AI resources. You can unsubscribe any time by clicking the link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly at [email protected]. We'll remove you immediately.
When you fill out one of our contact forms, the information travels securely through Netlify Forms — a trusted third-party service that captures form submissions and delivers them to us. Netlify handles this data in accordance with their privacy policy. We use your submission only to respond to your inquiry and for no other purpose. We do not add contact form respondents to any mailing list unless you explicitly opt in.
Our website is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection). We do not store credit card numbers, government IDs, or sensitive personal information. We access your contact data only for the purpose of following up on your specific inquiry. We never store passwords — we don't even have login accounts on this site.
You have the right to ask us to delete any information we hold about you. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Please delete my data" and we will do so within 10 business days and confirm when it's done. No runaround, no lengthy process.
Our site does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit our pages — aggregate numbers only, no personal identification. We do not use Google Analytics or any service that profiles individual visitors.

SAI4RAI exists to teach responsible AI. That means we can't just talk about transparency, fairness, and human dignity as abstract concepts — we have to demonstrate them in how we operate, how we handle your data, how we build our programs, and how we treat every person who interacts with us.

We treat all community members, inquirers, and partners with equal respect — regardless of the size of their organization, their background, or what they can offer us in return. Every inquiry gets a genuine response.
You control your relationship with us. You can unsubscribe, ask us to delete your data, or simply stop engaging — with no penalty and no pressure. We design for choice, not lock-in.
We will never use data about you in a way that could embarrass, expose, or harm you. We will never share personally identifiable information without explicit consent. When in doubt, we err on the side of protection.
If we ever make a mistake with your data, we will tell you — promptly and clearly. Responsible AI means owning our errors, not hiding them. We are a small team and we can be reached directly by anyone.
We review our practices as we grow. This page will be updated whenever our data practices change — not buried in a change log, but rewritten in plain language so it remains genuinely readable.
